Lori has always been interested in art, and received a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has also taken several art courses at Wright Community College. She attended the Chicago Portfolio School, a creative advertising school in downtown Chicago, but left to pursue greener pastures. Lori was taught the art of face paiting by Tom Engel.

Currently, Lori is an Illinois Certified teacher, and spends her days in a Chicago Public School on the North Side of Chicago, delighting students with the joy of literature and language arts. She loves children and finds that face painting is a perfect complement to teaching. It is magical, entertaining, and a great creative outlet. Lori now has a Masters of Arts in Teaching from NLU. She also practices storytelling.
